Medical Test Every Year: No. 2- Cholesterol

A cholesterol test or lipid panel is a kind of blood test that measures the amount of cholesterol and triglycerides in our blood. A cholesterol test helps determine whether there are risks from the buildup of fatty deposits in our arteries that can result in narrowed or blocked arteries in the entire body.
If we have any of the symptoms mentioned below, we are at high risk of getting coronary artery disease, and getting a cholesterol check-up is a must.
• Being Overweight
•Habit of smoking cigarettes regularly
•Following an unhealthy diet
•Being physically Inactive
•Having Diabetes
•If we have a family history of High Cholesterol and Heart attacks
It is advisable to get a Cholesterol check-up to determine how well the treatment works for us.
Medical Test Every Year: No. 3- Skin

Skin is the largest organ of our body. It protects us from various infections and injuries. We must get a skin exam as it helps to recognize the possibility of skin cancer. A full-body skin exam consists of assessing the skin on the following body parts –
•Arms
•Mouth
•Legs
•Hands
•Scalp
•Torso
•Ears
•Feet
•Eyes
•Face
We must get a routine skin check-up for our Moles, Blemishes, and Freckles to check for a change in size, shape, or color. We should get a Full-body skin exam every year. When we are at high risk of developing skin cancer, we should consult with our doctor about how often we must get Skin exams.
Medical Test Every Year: No. 4- Blood Pressure

High blood pressure or hypertension is a common though serious health issue. In a recent study, 45 percent of adults globally have Hypertension unknowingly. Hypertension rarely causes any symptoms. Without a regular check-up, we may have it for years without even knowing it. After some years, without treatment, high blood pressure leads to an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and chronic kidney disease. Therefore, we need to get a Blood pressure check-up every year. There can be three types of blood pressure –
Normal, high, or low.
Ideally, Normal blood pressure should be 120bpm over 80mm of Mercury.
High blood pressure is categorized into three stages – Elevated, stage 1 hypertension, and stage 2 hypertension
•Elevated – Blood pressure over 120/80mm Hg
•Stage 1 hypertension – Blood pressure ranging from 130 to 139 mm Hg
•Stage 2 hypertension – Blood pressure having a consistent reading above 140/190 mm Hg
Low blood pressure has a level reading of 90/60 mm Hg
We must get our blood pressure checked every 1 to 2 years as Hypertension usually does not shows any symptoms.
