CT scan stands for Computerized Tomography Scan. It provides much more detailed information than the plain X-rays do for it combines a series of X-ray images which are taken from different angles around your body and with the use of computer processing, it creates cross-sectional images (slices) of the bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues inside our body.
